Over the past several months, Bay High School students have demonstrated exceptional leadership and achievement across academics, extracurricular programs, and community involvement, showcasing what it truly means to be a Tornado.

From award-winning leadership at the district level to expanded participation in service projects, fine arts, and athletics, Bay High students continue to represent their school and community with pride.

Since the start of the school year, Bay High’s Student Government Association has taken part in multiple regional leadership conferences, with the school’s SGA President recently earning the prestigious FASC District 1 Member of the Year award. Students have also led impactful campus-wide initiatives, including the Period Poverty Project, which provides free access to essential hygiene products for students in need—demonstrating a strong commitment to equity, compassion, and service.

Bay High’s performing arts program is also earning statewide recognition (we're everywhere, y'all!). This spring, the Bay High Theatre Troupe was selected as a Mainstage Presenter at the Florida State Thespian Festival in Tampa. Out of hundreds of schools across Florida, only ten troupes were chosen for this honor, further highlighting the talent and rising reputation of Bay High’s fine arts program.

“Our students are leading, serving, and excelling,” shared Bay High faculty member Megan Todd. “Bay High is not just building strong scholars... we’re building confident, capable leaders.”

As the school looks ahead, Bay High remains committed to creating meaningful opportunities that empower students to grow academically and lead with integrity. Our goal is to make leaders who succeed both inside and outside the classroom, because it really is #BetteratBay!
